Çay and Simit

Çay (Turkish tea) is drunk strong and black, in small glasses like you can see in the photo. Many people like to put sugar in as well. The simit is another delicious snack which can be eaten with tea. It is a chewy, crusty bread ring covered with sesame seeds. It is savoury, not sweet, and it can be eaten with cream cheese or on its own.

The simit must be something like our bagels. Nice shot of the food.

Hmmmm, you are making me hungry with this lovely photo. I want to sit right down with you and enjoy!

It's my first opportunity to drop in and say welcome to the CDPB community. Bursa is so beautiful and interesting in the photos you've posted so far. I would really like to spend some serious time in that silk market, too!
Best to you as you share your photos with us!

I drink tea all day, too.
But with skim milk.
Have you got anything sweet, to go with the tea?

hello to everybody ..and thanks a lot for visiting bursa daily photo...

yes they are like bagels ..
the silk market needs a serious time really...because you have to bargain also...like tradition here..they will always tell you a high price then you have to negociate..sometimes they will offer you tea..the negatiton can take a long time...
turkish cafe also is very famous.unlike italians here they are drinking tea in the morning while they are having our breakfast..coffee comes afterwards..one like at 11 in the morning the other one after lunch...

grazie fabrizio parliamo tutte e due l'italiano perche abbiamo due mariti italiani....hahaha...
we will take some more photos for you ararat ..we will show you some turkish sweets....
